Shop Foreman
The Shop Foreman oversees all aspects of shop work to ensure projects are completed with the highest quality workmanship while meeting established production goal times. This person will lead all shop activities, take a hands-on role in daily production, and help provide training to new employees. A thorough understanding of all pipe organ actions and the ability to troubleshoot them is required. The Shop Foreman must be able to read drawings and construct components with a high level of precision and accuracy.
The Shop Foreman may be asked to collaborate with the Tonal Director, Project Manager, Organ Builders, and others to prepare estimates and proposals for both new instruments and service projects. This person will be authorized to order parts, supplies, and materials, and will work with other team members to coordinate shipping when necessary.

Organ Builder and Service Technician
We are expanding our team of dedicated organ builders and technicians. Building on our company’s rich 50-year history, we continue to strive to produce new instruments of the highest quality, to complete historically sensitive restorations, and to provide exceptional service to our tuning and maintenance customers. Each of our employees gains experience working in all of these areas.
The position currently available is for a general organ builder and service technician. This person will work with wood, leather, felt, and other materials to build and repair pipe organ components, using both hand and power tools. The employee will use his or her creativity and problem-solving skills to diagnose and trouble shoot instruments both in the shop and in the field. This employee must be available for occasional travel to neighboring communities and out-of-state trips.
Employees will have the opportunity to develop skills in other areas of organ building based on personal interests and abilities. These may include various aspects of pipe making working with lead, tin, brass, and copper. Metal working and welding skills are beneficial. Our shop uses a CNC router and employees will have the freedom to explore this tool and its programming. This person will work with electronic organ control systems and basic 12 VDC wiring.
