The end of May saw the Bedient crew install Opus 80 in St. John’s Lutheran Church’s newly renovated sanctuary in Sacramento, CA.

Typically, the press has a hard time communicating the fine points of organ construction, but the Sacramento News & Review covered the event with this solid (and slightly irreverant) account:

Gene, Chad & all the crew,

We love our new pipe organ at St. John’s. On the dedication service in our remodeled santuary on June 15, the church was as packed as it is on Easter Sunday. The pipe organ received a blessing from our bishop during the service at 9:15. Everyone was so impressed with the instrument and a lot of folks commented to the Organ Committee that they were so happy to hear the organ once again. The Lord truly does work miracles in this day and age, and Opus 80 is a testament to that fact.

    Thanks again,
    Helen Hakanson,
    Secretary, Organ Committee
